Fall 2010 Visiting Research Fellows

Wojciech Przychodzen, "Corporate Sustainable Growth Valuation during U. S. Stock Market Cycle, 1990-2009". The project had three broad objectives: identify efficient way of measuring corporate sustainable rate of growth; investigate market valuation of sustainable growing companies; and investigate sustainable rate of growth valuation cyclical patterns during stock market cycle.

Justyna Przychodzen, "The impact of companies’ environmental policy on its financial performance and stakeholders relations". The project will identify efficient way of measuring corporate sustainable rate of growth; identify measure of companies’ environmental policy; and investigate the impact of companies environmental policy on pace of its growth and relations with stakeholders

Fall 2009 Visiting Research Fellow

Karol Klimczak, Kozminski University in Poland, pursued research for his project "Governance at Risk".  The goal of the project is to conduct a survey of methods available for alignment of corporate risk profile with shareholders' interests, control of the risk profile and of risk management systems.

Fall 2009 Visiting Assistant in Research

Mr. Christian Weiss, Research Assistant / Doctoral Candidate, Chair of Strategy and Organization, European Business School (EBS), International University Schloss Reichartshausen,  His research focuses on the determinants and performance effects of the ownership structures of firms, in  particular, the relative importance of firm-level, industry-level, and country-specific factors as antecedents of ownership allocation and respective performance effects.

Student Researcher

Additionally, Ms. Mariana Pargendler conducted research for the Millstein Center in February 2009.  Ms. Pargendler was enrolled in the J.S.D program at the Yale Law School.  She was previously an associate in the corporate department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.   Ms. Pargendler already holds an LL.M. degree from Yale Law School, where she was a John M. Olin Fellow in Law, Economics and Public Policy and an editor of the Yale Journal of International Law.  Ms. Pargendler is the author of several U.S. and international publications in the fields of contract and corporate law and is admitted to practice in New York and Brazil.
